For two, at your own pace

# An Egypt Honeymoon, Privately Planned

Monument mornings, a few nights on the Nile and a proper rest by the sea, in an order that doesn’t wear you out after the wedding.

## Put the rest at the end

Begin with Cairo and Giza while you still have energy, spend the middle of the trip on the Nile, and finish on the Red Sea or in Siwa with nothing scheduled. One hotel change fewer is worth more here than one temple more.

Cairo, the Nile, then the Red Sea or Siwa

## Three routes couples ask for

- About ten days: Cairo, a Nile cruise or dahabiya, then the Red Sea
- About twelve days: Cairo, Luxor and Aswan, then Siwa for the quiet
- One week: Cairo and Giza, then straight to the Red Sea, leaving the Nile for another trip

## What we ask you both first

One of you may want every tomb in the Valley of the Kings while the other is done after two. Tell us. A mixed route can give the keen one a longer morning with the guide and the other a late breakfast, with lunch together afterwards.

Privacy in Egypt comes from timing and from the room you book, not from closing a site. We can’t empty a temple for you. We can plan your visits for quieter hours and keep your evenings free.

Hotels and boats decide for themselves how they mark a honeymoon. We let them know, and we won’t promise upgrades or surprises on their behalf.

## Where to spend the last nights

The Red Sea is the easier ending, with resort comforts and the water a few steps away. Siwa is quieter and much further; choose it only if the long road sounds like part of the pleasure.

### The Red Sea

The mainland coast from El Gouna to Marsa Alam. Choose by reef access, beach type, town or resort, and airport.

### Siwa Oasis

A long overland journey to salt lakes, springs, palm groves and a mud-brick old town. Worth it for three nights or more, not as a quick add-on.

### Luxor & Aswan

Temples, royal tombs and Nile travel from two very different Upper Egypt bases. How you move between Luxor and Aswan, by road, rail or boat, shapes the week.

## Two practical questions

### Can we avoid very early starts?

Mostly. A balloon over Luxor and the road to Abu Simbel begin before dawn, and some flights leave early. Everything else can start after breakfast, and we keep the day after an early one slow.

### How long should the trip be?

Ten to twelve days if you want Cairo, the Nile Valley and either the sea or Siwa without rushing. With a week, drop one of the three.

## Tell us what the two of you want more of

Send your wedding date or travel window, how many nights you have, and how each of you feels about temples, boats and beaches. Mention that it is a honeymoon; we pass it on to every hotel and boat.
