If you care how pyramids came to be, yes. Saqqara is older and often calmer than the plateau. It also means a drive and a second long visit, so with young children or in high heat we would keep it for another day. ### What time of day is best for the Pyramids? Early morning is usually best for light, heat and crowds. Check the current opening times for your date before fixing the plan. ### Can we see the Grand Egyptian Museum on the same day? Yes, as a full day with roughly half for each.
